About Me / My Values

The values behind the care.

Joyful Expression

Joy is resistance.

Planning, creating, building, and sustaining families isn't always neat or easy, especially in a hypercapitalistic and white supremacist society. BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) bodies, trans bodies, femme bodies, disabled bodies, and many other people of marginalized groups are constantly mistreated by the very systems we look to protect our health.

Doom and gloom aside (cuz dis tew much), I believe joy not only belongs here but is critical. Joy is resistance in a world that gives more than enough reasons for despair. I bring playfulness, laughter, and a dash of quirkiness to remind families that even in the most vulnerable, tiring, and trying moments, there's space for celebration.

Rest as Resilience

Rest is an act of resilience.

Speaking of this hypercapitalistic hellscape, people have been made to believe that their only value to society is in how much they produce and how much they can do — especially in the city that never sleeps that I call home.

Resting is an act of resilience against a culture that constantly demands ever more of you. Rest allows you to return to yourself and recover from life's challenges. A thoughtful pause to the "go, go, go." Intentional rest is needed to make intentional movement and to strengthen you for the challenges ahead.

I honor both your strength and your softness, encouraging balance, grounding, and growth in all of life's transformative seasons. Whether your rest looks like a long nap, or just laying on the couch staring at the ceiling, I'm here to help you facilitate your chill.

Dreams Undeferred

Your dreams deserve to flourish too.

I am my ancestor's wildest dreams, and they inspire me to dream even wilder. That spirit of possibility fuels my work as a doula — the reproductive life cycle has many powerful thresholds where people step into new versions of themselves.

I want to support your wild dreams too. Whether that looks like finding small moments of joy during a stretch of sleepless nights, finding the confidence to trust your own intuition, or creating space to nurture passions beyond parenthood, I'm here to cheer you on. Together, we can hold both the everyday tasks and the bigger vision — because your goals, your dreams, your creativity, and your future deserve to flourish alongside your growing family.

Holistic Justice for All

Birth work is justice work.

As a Black and queer doula, justice isn't an add-on — it's the foundation. Cultural humility, anti-oppression, anti-racism, decolonization, and inclusivity are inextricable from justice work. Birth work is justice work.

I affirm every identity, and create care that honors your full humanity. Every family deserves to feel safe, affirmed, and respected, and I'm committed to showing up with advocacy and equity at the core.
